AREGBESOLA & AJIMOBI: PAY MORE ATTENTION AND INVEST IN EDUCATION NOW!!!
The bold step taken by the ASUU to embark on strike recently is a sign that something is totally wrong with the school system. Who will help the situation by appealing to the both visitors ( AREGBESOLA / AJIMOBI) to yield to the demands of the striking workers is a question that deserves a deliberate discussion.
As it seems, ASUU is not ready to reverse it’s decision and suspend the strike since no any
aggreement had been made to resolve the outstanding issues.
However, the miscellaneous act of the both visitors for owning the workers up to a 13 month salaries shows their listless concern to education. A bystander syndrome in totality, no wonder they could not contribute any quota to the development of the school project. But why?
Am beginning to loose my my confidence in the APC led administration if they can not by now fulfiled and work towards their slogan hinged on CHANGE ! I will suggest we stage a peaceful protest by blocking the commercial road to make our grievances known to the public and the joint ownership states government.
The barricade of the road will restrict the movement of vehicles and commercial motorcycle operators. After the road block, we should enchant on a slogan ” WE WANT TO WRITE EXAM, WE WANT OUR STAFF TO BE PAID THEIR SALARIES, WE WANT
INFRASTRUCTURE IN OUR SCHOOL ” we must let them know that the peaceful protest is just a preamble for the joint ownership states government as we can not presumed what could be the next action.
Also, we can also embark on a protest match to the palace of SOUN OGBOMOSO to express our grievances and to members of house of assembly in nearby. I believe this will help resolve the agitation and entanglement….. Lautech Mouthpiece
